AUCKLAND DAY TRIP

  • Pick up from your accommodation, in a luxurious 4WD vehicle with guide supplied (English and German spoken).
     
  • Follow the harbour along Tamaki Drive, to the eastern waterfront suburbs of Mission Bay and St. Heliers. Get a feel for how wealthy Aucklanders live, in one of the more fashionable suburbs of the “City of Sails”.
 
 
 

  • Visit one of the oldest parts of Auckland: Parnell, with its wooden colonial houses and the restored Parnell Village, where you can shop for souvenirs. Take some time to visit St. Mary’s, one of the world’s finest wooden churches.
  • From there we take you to The Domain, Auckland’s oldest park and site of the city’s impressive War Memorial Museum. It contains an extensive collection of Maori artifacts and an excellent presentation of New Zealand’s history.
     
  • For fantastic panorama, with views for miles in every direction, we stop at the summit of Mt. Eden, the highest volcano in the city. Mt. Eden exhibits the characteristic terracing of Maori “pa” (fortified village) sites.
     
  • From there we take you on a 30 minute drive west, through “The Waitakeres” (protected native forest ranges) to the West Coast’s stunning black-sand beaches. You can walk to the edge of the cliffs, to view one of the world’s most accessible gannet colonies at the wild and romantic Muriwai Beach. Relax and watch surfers on the thundering waves below.
     
  • On our way back we pass several internationally acclaimed vineyards on Auckland’s Northwest Wine Trail. We stop at one of the picturesque vineyards for wine-tasting, and enjoy lunch at the famous “Hunting Lodge”, a colonial cottage nestled in gorgeous gardens, and overlooking a beautiful valley.
     
  • Driving on to North Shore City, we pass glorious white sand beaches and reach historic Devonport, the site of New Zealand’s premier naval base. Here we get an introduction to the military history of “North Head” and sit down to take in spectacular views of the City center and Auckland’s beautiful harbor.
     
  • Last stop is “Fort Takapuna”, a historic reserve that preserves unique naval gun emplacements from all periods of coastal defense in Auckland.
     
  • Get a last glimpse of the harbor, the City and the Sky Tower while crossing the Harbour Bridge back into Auckland’s Center.

PAKIRI DAY TRIP (White Sand Beach)

1 hour and 30 minutes North from Central Auckland.

  • Pick up from your accommodation. Luxurious 4WD vehicle and guide supplied.
  • Choose to explore gorgeous Vineyards, or visit the famous Morris & James Pottery.
  • Experience the magical underwater world at Goat Island Marine Reserve, where we will provide snorkelling or kayaking equipment.
 
  • Relax and enjoy a picnic on the remote white sand beach and enjoy the magnificent views of Little Barrier Island.
  • Ride beautiful horses along the deserted beach and return through sand dunes.
  • Drop off at your accommodation.

LUXURY SIX DAY NORTH ISLAND TRIP

Throughout the 19th century British settlers introduced many species to New Zealand. The rich habitat and lush vegetation has led to many species exceeding size and population norms elsewhere. The hunting enthusiast can over-indulge in a vast variety of species from big game such as deer, pigs, wild bulls and goats, to pest species such as rabbit and possum.

DAY ONE

  • Arrival at Auckland International Airport.
  • You are met by your Aroha NZ Tours Representative, & driven to your first luxury hotel in Auckland.
  • View Auckland's unique isthmus geography and two magnificent harbours, from the crater summit of volcanic Mt. Eden.
  • Walk through "the Viaduct", the vibrant waterfront centre of the Americas Cup yachting event.
  • Experience the thrill of a two hour sail on an America’s Cup racing yacht, acclaimed as the "Formula One" class of elite international yacht racing.
  • Relax, unwind and enjoy a delightful dinner, in one of the many superb restaurants in the Viaduct Harbour.

 

DAY TWO

  • Early Breakfast, then drive to the stunning Lake Taupo in the Central North Island, in our luxurious 4WD touring car.
  • Settle into your exclusive accommodation.
  • Experience a half day of fly-fishing at one of Taupo's world-renowned trout streams, accompanied by one of NZ's most expert fishing guides.
  • A leisurely and indulgent dinner will be arranged at your accommodation, or in the Taupo township.
 


DAY THREE
• Breakfast, then transport to Reporoa, on the majestic Waikato River.
• Experience an exhilarating jet boat ride on the river, to the magical hot-water "Hidden Valley".
• Walk through and explore the truly unique geothermal wonderland.
• Cast off for a scenic boat trip and dinner on Lake Taupo, with the superb 48ft launch "Pintari" at your disposal.

DAY FOUR
• Breakfast.
• Drive on the Volcanic Loop to view New Zealand's most accessible live volcano, magnificent Mt. Ruapehu.
• Take a short walk in the pristine native forest of the Tongariro National Park, a jewel in NZ's crown.
• Travel to a luxurious Country Estate in the ancient forest of the historic "King Country".
• Explore the working Deer farm, and watch the magnificent array of wildlife and native flora.
• Sporting clay bird shooting challenge, experience the thrill of field shooting on the beautiful grounds.
• Relish an indulgent three-course meal at the estate, including home-farmed venison, accompanied by a selection of NZ's finest wines.
• Experience a night shoot, spotlighting and shooting of non-native pest species (rabbits, possums etc).
• Or if you prefer, just relax with drinks by the fire, or watch the sun go down from your verandah.

 

DAY FIVE
• Breakfast
• The whole day is free to relax on the estate...you can choose an activity, or simply recline with a book if you prefer!
• We can arrange the following activities on your behalf: horse riding, 4x4 adventure, wildlife photography, archery, trout fishing, goat and pig hunting, trophy stag hunting and much more.
• Luxuriate in a delightful dinner, including local game and superb wine, on your final evening in New Zealand.

 

DAY SIX
• Early Breakfast, then watch the scenery unfold on the way to the Auckland International Airport.
• Ample time is available to go shopping for momentos on the drive to Auckland.

Price: NZD $9500 (GST included) per couple.
